Au Pairs and families, if you’re looking for an affordable activity for your day off, and you love art, Indianapolis has a lot to offer. Here are just two wonderful and affordable ways to do something artsy!
- Visit the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Not only is the museum free, the gardens and adjacent 100 Acres have public sculpture and beautiful floral displays. The 100 Acres is a safe place to walk or jog, if you have a fitness routine and want to get outdoors thissummer. If you veer right when you enter the IMA, you’ll even score free parking!
- First Fridays are a great way to network with fellow young people as you roam downtown’s art galleries taking in local art offerings. Most locations also offer light cocktail fare and some even have live entertainment. Check out a map of locations and information about participating galleries here.
